Prior to the availability of the canning line developed by Cask Brewing Systems, some craft brewers decided to fill cans by hand or by using some other manufacturers equipment. This approach permitted them to release cans to the public without the additional expense of buying a canning line or contracting the brewing, filling and sealing of cans to another brewer. Even after the Cask canning line became available, some craft brewers continued to hand fill cans because it was faster and more economical than using a canning line. This section includes all the 5 liter cans which, we believe, were hand filled.
The following can photos are being provided so the can collector has a visual image of all the available hand filled microcans. After all, this represents the first time in the collectors life that he or she has the opportunity to collect all of a specific can type.
