Omar Ansari opened this production brewery in late 2005 in the under utilized space in his family's abrasives business company headquarters. Brewmaster, Todd Haug, uses a 30-bbl Sprinkman brewhouse obtained from the defunct Barley's Brewing Co. in the Dominican Republic to produce the Surly brand beers.
