Widmer Brewing Co. was opened on April 26, 1985 by brothers Kurt and Rob Widmer at 1405 NW Lovejoy. In 1990 they moved to the current address at the intersection of N. Russell and Interstate Ave. In 1997, they changed the name to Widmer Brothers Brewing Co. and in 2007, they merged with Redhook Brewing Co. to form the Craft Brewers Alliance. They continue to operate.
